About Nanjing and Nanjing Experimental International School

Nanjing is an incredibly old city located in Eastern China known as the city of emperors, because it has served as the capital of six dynasties 2500 years ago. Located in central Nanjing is the Nanjing Experimental International School, a Sister School to P.K.Yonge in Gainesville, Florida. These two schools became Sister Schools because of their connections to the University of Florida and the Nanjing Xiaozhuang University.

History
Nanjing first became a state capital in AD 229, when the state of Eastern Wu founded by Sun Quan during the Three Kingdoms period relocated its capital to Jianye (建業), the city extended on the basis of Jinling Yi in AD 211.
