An orange blossom chilling out with a plum blossom.
Letter to the Head of PKY
Dear Dr. Hayes,
My name is Aubrey Pardue and i’m a student at P.K. Yonge. The goal of my artwork is to show our friendship with NJEIS.
The inspiration of my artwork came from some other pieces of artwork I’ve seen. My artwork represents our bond with NJEIS and to represent that I thought that an orange blossom on a branch with a plum blossom would represent that very well. The size is the way it is because that’s how big i feel it should be. I chose the materials because I feel that will work the best. The shape is the way it is because my artwork is supposed to represent a plum blossom and an orange blossom on a branch. The reason why my statue has a plum blossom with an orange blossom on a branch is because Florida’s state flower is an orange blossom and China’s national flower is a plum blossom.
The primary location is at PKY. I chose PKY to be my primary location because my artwork is supposed to represent the friendship of our school and NJEIS school. I would prefer my artwork to be located in the new building but if the new building isn’t a good place for it I am willing for it to go anywhere it works best.
What my art will do for PKY is that it will bring more awareness to our sister city. Some students might see it and want to get involved with the program. In the future people might see it and know more about the history.
Please take my art into consideration.
Thank you,
Aubrey
