Letter to the Mayor

Dear Lynda Hayes,

My name is Lucenia Pfaffly. I’m a 7th grade student at P.K. Yonge, and I designed a sculpture to represent the relationship between P.k yonge and NJEIS (a school a Nanjing, China)

I’d like to ask your permission for a medium sculpture, approximately 5.5 feet tall, 4 feet wide, and 6 feet long. Ideally, the sculpture would be installed within the PKY campus and somewhere in the NJEIS campus. here’s what I had in mind for the design:a wooden bench carved and painted to look like blue waves, with the NJEIS cube on it in a couple places and a panda/alligator (Florida/China) sitting on it. I would like to add a small metal sign explaining what it is, because not everyone will know about the relationship of NJEIS and PKY. my hope is that my sculpture will draw people attention with the cool design, and then hopefully people will read the informational metal sign and be able to learn about NJEIS and PKY.

Thank you for your consideration,

Lucenia Pfaffly.
