the trampoline has 3 trees around it and is would be 9 or 10 feet long so 3 or 5 kids can jump on it at a time and each kid gets 10 minutes to jump then the next group gets to jump. in qalqilya i wanted to put it by the hospital, and in gainesville i wanted to put it at depot park.
A wall with a heart with a carving of the Rzeszów cross and Gainesville train. To be a sign of Gainesville and Rzeszów´s sister cities friendship is forever lasting bond. WHERE. WHY.
Letter to the Mayor
Dear Mayor Lauren Poe,
My name is Grace Lopez, and I am 6th grade student at P.K. Yonge Developmental Research in Gainesville, FL. I have designed an art installation that is meant to connect Gainesville and our sister city of Rzeszow.
My art installation is a long wall with a big heart on top that has the symbols of both Gainesville and Rzeszow carved into it with a gold shiny accent. The reason I made this installation is because I want people to know that Gainesville has a sister city, and it is Rzeszow. I think that the materials I chose like concrete with a mold of a heart and a wall, then gold paint to go in the carving stuff in the heart, and glue for the star that’s going to be in the middle of the wall where the heart will be on top of.
The primary location that I want is near Bo Didly Plaza because it is in an area where a lot of people come to visit, so many people would be able to see it. Another location for this could be close to the Harn Museum where people can learn about the installation. I want this installation to be 18ft tall as well.
I think the city of Gainesville would like this idea because it symbolized unity between our two cities and allows for our cities.
This stands for the relationship for Columbia and PKY. It is a flag pole with flags of the Colombian and PKY flag on the same flag pole.
Letter to the Mayor
Dear Mayor Lauren Poe,
My name is William Strnad I am in 8th grade at PK Yonge , and I am designing a work of installation art to represent the friendship between Gainesville and Fundacion tinguaco .
I would purpose a flag pole with a flag that says PKY on it and a Flag that has the Colombian flag. The PKY flag will be white with blue letters and the other flag wil have 3 stripes of yellow red blue. The flag pole will be 20 feet high and the flags will be 5 feet by 3 feet and this will represent the relationship of the two places.
A handshake. Gainesville and Rzesow. A sealed handshake.
Letter to the Mayor
Dear Mayor Lauren Poe,
My name is Ben James. I’m an 6th grade student at P.K. Yonge, and I am designing a work of installation art to represent the friendship between Gainesville and Rzeszow.
I’d like to propose large twin sculptures, approximately seven feet high, seven feet wide, and two feet deep – just taller than a human being to inspire awe while remaining approachable. These medal sculpture, in the form of a Hammer (to represent Rzeszow),would embody the growing relationship between Rzeszow and Gainesville that began in 2013. Please see the attached drawings for more detail. The sculpture would be fashioned from pressure treated live or cedar to evoke the native flora of Gainesville/Rzeszow while also being strong and resistant to weather.
Ideally, the sculptures would be installed prominently in both Gainesville and Rzeszow. The Sister Cities in front of City Hall and Oak Mall in Gainesville would be a perfect location. The proposed location in Rzeszow is going to be by the school. Please see the attached visualizations.
I hope my artwork will inspire citizens of Gainesville to learn about Rzeszow and Poland. I hope that it will be a physical reminder of our friends in other countries. When someone looks at it, and think about how good the good Rzeszow buildings are. It will bring our cities closer together, it will celebrate our friendship, and it will make the world at once more wondrous and more accessible to the people of Rzesow and Gainesville.
The artwork will be a large tree, one half will be cedar and the other half will be an oak. The cedar represents Mejdlaya and the oak represents Gainesville. Height – 10 feet tall, 3.5 feet wide and 3.5 feet deep (circular). It would be made out of wire (armature wire) with a wooden trunk of the tree.

I’d like to propose a large sculpture, approximately ten feet high, ten feet wide, and 4 feet deep – just taller than a human being to inspire awe while remaining approachable. This wired sculpture, in the form of a Lebanon cedar tree on the right (to represent Meldlaya) and an oak tree to the left (to represent Gainesville), would embody the relationship between Meldlaya and Gainesville that began in 2015. Please see the attached drawings for more detail. The sculpture would be wire.
Ideally, the sculpture would be installed prominently in Gainesville and in Meldlaya. The Sister Cities Pavilion in front of City Hall or Bo Diddley plaza would be perfect locations. Please see the attached visualizations.

The concept of my artwork are two flag people holding hands to represent Gainesville and Naryn’s relationship. Naryn’s flag will have mountains on it, to represent their rocky mountain surroundings. Gainesville’s flag will have an alligator representing our swampy wet surrounding. The goal of my art work is to remind people of how big the world is and to make people want to learn more about sister cities around the world. I propose a Sculpture that is 6 feet tall and 10 feet wide just above the average human The materials will be mostly wood because it is very cheap and affordable but at the same time strong for a very long time. The location of the artwork will be in front of the PK Younge auditorium parking lot because there are many blank areas that could use the help of a colorful sculpture.

A sculpture of two children siting at a table making a bracelet. one of the children already has a bracelet and they are making a bracelet for the other. The bracelets represent friendship. I want people who see it to wonder and learn about our sister school.
I want the children to be about 3.5 ft tall, and I want everything in the sculpture to be life sized. I want it to be made out to metal
The primary location would be behind the new building so the secondary students could see it and learn about it, a secondary location would be one of the open areas after the demolition.

I also want them to think about all the other sister cities/sister schools that Gainesville has to offer. The artwork is going to be 6ft tall and 14ft wide. The materials that are being used are wood for the poles pbc pipes for the yurk and paint for the patterns. The location I want this piece of artwork to be in is at PK somewhere around the new building. If the artwork is not at Pk then maybe somewhere in Naryn.
